It’s hard when you’re trying to stop binge eating and you’re not successful.
I was talking with a woman recently who was feeling really discouraged. She wants to stop so badly and is trying so hard but isn’t seeing the results she wants.
So I asked her a simple question.
Do you think you can do better than you have been?
Sometimes we think we’re doing the best we can, but when we stop and look at ourselves, there’s room for improvement.
Isn’t there always though? With everything!
She’d been telling herself this story that she’s been doing everything she can, but in telling herself that, she’s been ignoring what she hasn’t been doing.
What she hasn’t been doing is exactly what she needs to be doing.
She hasn’t seen that though because she’s been closing herself off to the idea that there are more strategies that she could be implementing.
Are you doing the same? Are you keeping yourself stuck in discouragement because you’re telling yourself there’s nothing more you can do and that you’ve tried everything?
You can always do more, and you haven’t tried everything.
If you haven’t worked with me then you definitely haven’t tried everything!
The only person holding you back is you. Give yourself more chances by opening up your world to other possibilities.
Feeling discouraged happens, but don’t allow it to exist for so long that you just give up.
There’s always a way out. Always. You just have to find your right path.
