Binge today, then start fresh tomorrow.
How many times have you made that plan in the moment right before you binge?
But why tomorrow? Why is tomorrow a better day to make healthy choices than today is?
Why wait?
The reason is probably because you’re feeling a strong urge to binge right now and it’s much easier to say yes to that urge and put off all your healthy eating until it’s gone.
Binge eating when you feel an urge to do it is easy. Not doing it is hard.
What’s also hard is consistently putting off until tomorrow your commitment to not binge.
How many tomorrows are you going to have?
When you first start doing the work to stop binge eating, it’s hard. There’s no way around it.
You probably know this because you’ve tried stopping many times, but then found it to be too hard.
But you need to go through the hard before it gets easy.
Whether you start today or tomorrow, it’s going to be hard.
So why keep putting it off?
Why have just one more time? You already had a one more time, and it wasn’t worth it.
Why wait until tomorrow? That’s one more day you’ll have to suffer with all the repercussions of the binge.
Stop suffering now.
Feel the urge to binge and think about eating. You’re doing it already. But now do those things without eating.
It’s possible.
You are in control of what you do and the decisions you make.
Decide to use your self-control now, not tomorrow.
And yes, you have self-control, but any time you think you don’t, it’s actually you choosing not to use it.
If you don’t start making changes today, when are you going to? When are you REALLY going to?
Nothing will change until you make it change. Your thoughts patterns about eating will be the same until you change them. The intensity of your feelings about eating won’t change until you change your thought patterns. And your behavior around food won’t change until you lessen the intensity of your feelings about food.
Your life is in your hands. Don’t wait for tomorrow to do what you can do today.
